This article discusses the implications of recent developments in climate science for efforts Pacific Island States to avert, minimize and address loss damage from change through international law. It these connection with three areas law pertaining damage: averting threat existential losses; minimizing adaptation resilience; addressing reparations victims. As demonstrates, evolving highlights need urgent action each while providing fresh insight into specific requirements compliance States’ obligations related such action. examines how can be met established mechanisms regime, including Warsaw International Mechanism on Loss Damage associated Climate Change Impacts.
